When it comes to flood defences, getting the job right is essential. Having completed a number of projects in this specialist area, we’re no stranger to working with water and negotiating the challenges associated with this force of nature.
Working on a number of flood defence projects in recent years has allowed us to develop our experience of working with tides and create bespoke concrete solutions.
An example of this was when we carried out works on the disused central dry dock in Hull, adjacent to the C4DI building. We created an insitu concrete wall to the existing dock gates and surrounding area to make them watertight as a first line of defence at the mouth of the River Hull.
Since then, we have also completed projects in Anlaby & East Ella (East Riding) and Broughton (North Lincolnshire).
