SCOPE DELIVERED

Bridge maintenance works completed at Skipton-on-Swale on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council.

• Excavation of bridge deck to expose the barrels of the bridge which were then cleaned
• Bridge backfilled with a foamed concrete mix as the bridge’s weight had to be kept to a minimum
• Pouring of a C32/40 concrete slab on top of the foamed concrete ready to receive the road formation
• New kerb line installed to either side of the bridge
• One side of the bridge tarmacked for a pedestrian footway and the opposite side relayed with existing cobbles due to the grade 2 listing order on the bridge.
• Bridge then tarmacked and reopened for use.
