Rowland Way to University Campus Cycleway/Pedestrian Route

GENERAL OVERVIEW

The cycleway/pedestrian route improvement scheme included implementing parallel crossings on Rowland Road, Ashby Road and increasing the width of the cycleway through the park area crossing Centenary Way and tying into the existing cycle way on the western side of University Campus (North Lincolnshire entrance). This also included resurfacing to existing footways.

SCOPE DELIVERED

  • The works were carried out over 5 phases with an overall distance of just under 1 mile
  • Excavation and widening of existing paths
  • New gullies, pipework and connections
  • Ducting and street lighting
  • Planing of footways, surfacing new and existing footways
  • Planing and surfacing to carriageway  on Centenary Way and Ashby roundabout which required complex TM
  • Install belisha beacon crossings and connections
  • Anti-skid and line marking
