Bridges

Whether over water or land, we have enjoyed working on many bridges during the past 30 years.

We primarily work with local authorities across Hull and East Yorkshire, and have also completed a number of bridge projects across North Yorkshire. Whether it’s constructing, as we did with Beck Hill Bridge during the second phase of the Bridlington Integrated Transport Plan, or repairs, as we’ve completed on numerous bridges, we’re equally adept at delivering to a high level on time.

One of our most recent projects was the widening of Tanton Bridge in North Yorkshire. The works required the existing downstream elevation (parapets, spandrels, wingwalls, copings, pilasters) of the bridge to be dismantled and the arch barrel extended by approximately 5.8 metres. Despite the country being in a national lockdown, this contract was completed on programme.

In recent times, we’ve also undertaken repairs on Rawcliffe Bridge (Goole) and widening works on Kirkby Malham Bridge in North Yorkshire. You can read more about all of these projects in the case studies shown below.
