GENERAL OVERVIEW

Strengthening of the bridge to increase load capacity and installation of new drainage to help reduce flooding on the carriageway.

SCOPE DELIVERED

• Road surface dug out to expose the barrel of the bridge followed by backfilling with 26m3 of concrete, finishing with binder and the laying of surface course tarmacadam

• Some areas of the parapet walls taken down and and rebuilt

• Existing parapets then repaired and reinstalled

• Installation of a series of manholes connected with 225mm perforated pipes
