PBS recently welcomed its two newest recruits with Jonny Wilkinson and Niall Ellis joining the company as apprentice groundworkers.
The two local youngsters will each spend the next 18 months working towards achieving their Level 2 Groundworks City & Guilds qualification. As well as learning their trade on site, both Niall and Jonny will also study one day a week at Hull College as part of their apprenticeship.
As a company, PBS has a long tradition of recruiting apprentices from the local area and Glenn Smurthwaite, Managing Director, said:
“We’ve always been big believers in giving the next generation an opportunity and we’re delighted to have both Niall and Jonny on board with us.
“Several of our employees started out as apprentices and have worked their way up into different roles within the business. Hopefully this can be the start of a good journey with PBS for Niall and Jonny.”
