PBS Construction has partnered up with Lads FC, to become their first ever front of shirt sponsor.
Formed in October 2020 by Anthony Snow and David West, Lads FC is a not-for-profit community football club which aims to raise awareness around mental health and wellbeing, whilst providing an escape from everyday life through playing football. The club prides itself on providing an all-inclusive environment which is open to anyone, irrespective of gender, race, religion, age and ability.
The club also raises awareness and funds for local charities with over £1500 already donated since last October. When the club was looking for support to help with the purchase of its kit, they approached PBS about potentially getting involved and the business was only too happy to help.
“When Anthony and David approached us, I just thought it was a brilliant initiative,” said Glenn Smurthwaite, Managing Director at PBS.
“Sport is such a great thing for bringing people together and improving both physical and mental wellbeing. Our business and family have always had a big involvement with sport and we’re delighted to be a part of the Lads FC journey.”
David West, co-founder of Lads FC, added:
“It’s crazy to think how far the club has come since it was established just three months ago.
“Without PBS’s original sponsorship we may not have even taken that step from a team that plays casual games to a club we’re now proud to be a part of.”
