Hull Trawlerman’s Memorial

Hull is renown for its history of the fishing and dock industry, in order to commemorate this we have recently completed a project to honor the Trawlermen who worked and lost their lives at sea on behalf of NPS Humber.

The project is situated on St. Andrews Quay near the Sailmakers pub which can be quickly identified when in the area. The memorial comprises statues of waving trawlerman situated on the grassed area. The memorial has already been wideley recognised by locals and is even visible from across the River Humber.

The scheme was completed on a tight schedule in order for the memorial to be celebrated as part of annual service on 12th February. The service had a huge attendance in which the anticipated memorial received a very warm welcome.
