Like many before this, we have successfully completed another bridge contract on behalf of North Yorkshire County Council.
Gilling Bridge West, near Richmond in North Yorkshire required various stonework repairs which consisted of dismantling and rebuilding sections of the parapet walls, raking and pointing to some areas, as well as raking, repointing and resetting the cutwaters of the structure, as well as some general vegetation removal works, with the scheme finishing with carriageway reinstatement.
Due to the nature of the works, a full road closure was required. Working to programme was therefore vital, as we aimed to keep disruption to the travelling public at a minimum by ensuring all works was completed on time, while still facing the day to day challenges on site.
As we enter the New Year, we are also due to commence work at a further two bridges in North Yorkshire; Hewick Bridge & Kirkham Bridge, as we aim to maintain our working relationship with North Yorkshire County Council.
