PBS participated in the CIHT Street and Places Awards for the Grimsby Town Centre Accessibility Improvements completed in 2016. The awards ceremony took place in London on 15th June, PBS were represented by Contracts Director Glenn Smurthwaite and Site Manager Jamie Husband who worked on the project.
In partnership with North East Lincolnshire Council and ENGIE Regeneration, the GTC Scheme was awared with ‘Highly Commended’, for which we received the following Judge’s comments:
“Part of a town centre accessibility project seeking to emphasise the importance of sustainable modes. Involved consultation with disability groups, they have produced a scheme that significantly enhances the town centre.”
The award was happily welcomed following the success of the scheme as we continue our strong working relationship with NELC and ENGIE.
